Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Doctor Parke Ltd, whose registered address is 3 Wellington Park, Belfast, BT9 6DJ (Company Number NI719769). By scheduling an appointment, completing a consultation form, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 In these Terms of Business and the Consent Form: (a) A reference to "Doctor Parke Ltd", "the Company", "us", "we", "our" shall be to the limited company described in paragraph 2.1. (b) A reference to "patient", "you", "your", "I", "my" shall be to the person named as "the patient" on the Consent Form, who is subject to these Terms.

2. Who we are

2.1 Doctor Parke Ltd is a limited company established in Northern Ireland. Its registered office is at 3 Wellington Park, Belfast, County Antrim, BT9 6DJ and its registered number is NI719769.

2.2 Doctor Parke Ltd provides weight management services which include an initial assessment of the patient, follow-up consultations, dietary and lifestyle advice, and, where clinically appropriate, prescription medication.

2.3 All clinical care is provided by Dr Andrew Parke, a General Practitioner registered with the General Medical Council (GMC number 7591108) and holding a licence to practise, who holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Obesity and Weight Management.

2.4 Our services do not replace your own General Medical Practitioner (GP), whom you should consult when necessary. We are not an emergency service. If you have an urgent medical problem, contact your GP, call 111 or local GP out-of-hours service, or in an emergency call 999.

2.5 The advice we give is for use only by you, the patient, and only in connection with the specific matter on which we are instructed. It should not be shared with any other party save with our consent in writing.

2.6 Our services are available only to persons aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom and have a United Kingdom delivery address.

3. The service you are buying

3.1 The Doctor Assessment. A video consultation of approximately 30 minutes with Dr Parke, including a review of your medical history, an assessment of your suitability for treatment, and a written plan. The fee is £129, payable at the time of booking.

3.2 The Programme. Where treatment is clinically appropriate and you choose to proceed, the programme comprises a monthly video review with Dr Parke, messaging access on working days, access to the patient app and programme content, and ongoing clinical supervision. The fee is £129 per month.

3.3 Credit of the assessment fee. Where you join the programme within 14 days of your assessment, the £129 assessment fee is credited in full against your first month, so no further programme fee is payable for that month.

3.4 Medication. Where prescribed, medication is charged in addition to the monthly programme fee. Medication prices are set by the wholesaler pharmacy and may change; your cost is confirmed before each month's order.

3.5 Duration. The programme runs month to month. There is no minimum term and no contract period.

3.6 Current fees are published at doctorparke.com. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any change to the programme fee.

4. Our responsibilities to you

4.1 We will complete a full assessment of your current health status and medical history, including any medication you are currently taking.

4.2 We will seek to understand what you hope to achieve.

4.3 We will provide written advice in the form of a patient treatment plan, setting out how you can work towards your goal.

4.4 We will advise you of any issues we foresee that may make your goal difficult to achieve, and will advise on the most realistic outcome for you.

4.5 Prescription weight management medication may be offered to you following a thorough medical assessment. Whether any medication is clinically appropriate is a decision made by Dr Parke at the assessment. Completing our online eligibility questionnaire does not mean medication will be prescribed, and no medication is supplied without a prior video consultation.

4.6 Where medication is prescribed, it is dispensed by a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, which delivers it directly to you. Doctor Parke Ltd does not hold, store or dispense medicines.

4.7 With your consent, we will inform your NHS GP that you are under our care and of any medication prescribed. We consider this an important safety measure. If you do not consent to your GP being informed, we will discuss this with you, and we may decline to prescribe where we consider it unsafe to proceed without GP involvement.

5. Patient responsibilities

5.1 You agree to complete the Consent Form and any medical questionnaire fully and accurately. The information you provide determines your treatment plan and whether treatment is safe for you.

5.2 You agree to inform us of any significant change that may affect your treatment, including any change in medication, pregnancy or planned pregnancy, or health status.

5.3 You agree to attend your scheduled monthly reviews. Continued prescribing depends on ongoing clinical review.

5.4 You must not share, sell or give any prescribed medication to another person. Medication is prescribed for you alone following assessment of your individual circumstances.

5.5 You agree to store medication as directed and to dispose of used equipment safely as instructed.

5.6 We encourage you to discuss any medication we prescribe with your own GP or pharmacist, particularly in relation to other medicines you take.

6. Liability

6.1 Your relationship is solely with the Company, which has sole legal liability for the services provided to you and for any act or omission in the course of those services. Accordingly, we will be liable to you for any wrongful acts or omissions of any individual employee of the Company in the course of those services.

6.2 You agree that any claim you wish to make in respect of the services provided to you shall be made only against the Company and not against any individual employee of the Company.

6.3 While every reasonable effort is made to provide you with safe and effective care, individual response to medication and results may vary. We make no guarantee of any particular weight loss outcome.

6.4 For the purposes of this paragraph 6 (Liability):

6.4.1 Weight loss results depend on multiple factors, including patient compliance with medication and other medical and lifestyle advice. We shall not be liable for any loss in respect of adverse effects arising from factors outside our control or from your non-compliance with medical advice.

6.4.2 Any advice given by us is for your sole benefit and may not be relied on by any other person.

6.4.3 Our advice will be determined by the information provided on the Consent Form and at consultation, and is a matter of opinion in which we will use reasonable care. You agree to accept such advice as an expression of our opinion and not as a statement of fact.

6.4.4 Where any loss is suffered by you for which we and any other person are jointly and severally liable, the loss recoverable by you from us shall be limited so as to be in proportion to our relative contribution to the overall fault for such loss.

6.4.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

6.4.6 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6.5 The contract between the Company and you is governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and the Courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of all disputes arising out of, or in connection with, the subject matter of this engagement.

7. Professional indemnity insurance

7.1 Doctor Parke Ltd holds professional indemnity insurance covering the United Kingdom. Details of specific insurers are available on request.

8. Appointments

8.1 You may cancel or reschedule an appointment. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice.

8.2 If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not attend, the fee for that appointment is not refunded, as the time was reserved for you. If you cancel with 24 hours' notice or more, see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

8.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment if necessary and will give you reasonable notice. If we cancel and cannot offer a suitable alternative, you will be refunded in full.

9. Ending the arrangement

9.1 You may cancel your membership at any time, with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancel before your next billing date and you will not be charged again.

9.2 We may end or suspend treatment where we consider it clinically unsafe to continue, where you repeatedly do not follow medical advice, where you do not attend monthly reviews, or where you provide materially inaccurate information. Where we end treatment on clinical grounds, see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

9.3 On ending the arrangement, we will provide you with a summary of your treatment and, with your consent, inform your GP. We will retain your medical records as required by law.

10. Payment and refunds

10.1 The assessment fee is payable at the time of booking. Programme fees are payable monthly in advance.

10.2 With your consent, we may securely store your card details to take your monthly payment. Storing your card does not authorise any payment on its own: each monthly charge is made separately, and only where continued treatment remains clinically appropriate. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

10.3 Medication is ordered from the pharmacy only after your monthly payment has been received. We do not supply medication in advance of payment.

10.4 Refunds are dealt with in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Your right to cancel

11.1 Because you buy our services at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason.

11.2 If you ask us to begin providing the service within that 14-day period and the service is then fully performed, you lose the right to cancel in respect of that service. Where the service has been partly performed, we may charge a proportionate amount for what has been provided.

11.3 Our own Cancellation & Refund Policy is more generous than this statutory minimum in most situations, and we will always apply whichever is better for you.

11.4 To cancel, email hello@doctorparke.com or write to us at the registered address above.

12. Data protection and confidentiality

12.1 We collect personal and medical information from you in order to provide safe and effective care. This information is confidential, and we will not disclose it to any other person except as set out below or as required by law.

12.2 We may share your information with: (a) the dispensing pharmacy, to the extent necessary to dispense and deliver your prescription; (b) your NHS GP, with your consent, as described in clause 4.7; (c) other healthcare professionals where necessary for your care; (d) our clinical records and payment providers, who process data on our behalf under contract; (e) any person where we are required or permitted to do so by law, or where we judge disclosure necessary to protect you or another person from serious harm.

12.3 We will not use your personal information, your identity, or the fact that you are or have been our patient for marketing purposes without your separate, explicit, written consent. Where you choose to provide a testimonial or take part in promotional material, that consent is specific, recorded, and may be withdrawn by you at any time. Withdrawing consent will never affect your care.

12.4 All processing of your data is carried out in compliance with applicable law in the United Kingdom, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, subject to our legal obligation to retain medical records. Our full Privacy Policy is available at doctorparke.com/privacy-policy.

12.5 Doctor Parke Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZB820180.

13. Complaints

13.1 If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care or our service, please contact us at hello@doctorparke.com or +447512373999. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to provide a full response within 20 working days.

13.2 Our full Complaints Policy, including how to escalate a complaint, is available at doctorparke.com/complaints

14. Intellectual property

14.1 All materials provided by Doctor Parke Ltd, including treatment plans, programme content and educational resources, are the intellectual property of Doctor Parke Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without our express written consent. They are provided for your personal use as a patient.

15. Changes to these Terms

15.1 We may amend these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and significant updates will be communicated to you by email where possible. Changes will not apply retrospectively to services already provided. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
