Who we are
Doctor Parke Ltd ("we", "us") is a private medical practice providing remote weight management care across the United Kingdom. All clinical care is provided by Dr Andrew Parke, a General Practitioner registered with the General Medical Council (GMC 7591108).

We are the data controller for the information described here. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZB820180.

What we collect
When you use the eligibility checker: your name, email, age, height, weight, and answers about your medical history and current medications.
When you become a patient: date of birth, address, phone number, NHS GP details, full medical history, current medications, allergies, weight and measurements over time, consultation notes, prescriptions issued, and your correspondence with us.
When you pay: your name and billing details. We never see or store your full card number - payments are handled by our payment provider, and card details are stored securely by them, not by us.
When you use the patient app: weight entries, habit and activity data, and anything you choose to log or send us.
When you visit our website: standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed. See "Cookies" below.
Most of what we hold is health data, which the law treats as a special category requiring extra protection. We treat it accordingly.

Who we share it with
The dispensing pharmacy. If Dr Parke prescribes, the prescription and your delivery details go to Primed Pharamcy (GPhC 1039469) so your medication can be dispensed and delivered.
Your NHS GP, with your consent. We consider this an important safety measure.
Other healthcare professionals, where necessary for your care.

Where the law requires it, or where we judge disclosure necessary to protect you or someone else from serious harm.
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Marketing
If you join our mailing list, we'll email you about weight management and our services. You can unsubscribe from any email.
We will never use your identity, or the fact that you are or have been our patient, in any marketing without your separate, explicit, written consent. If you choose to give a testimonial, that consent is specific, recorded, and you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing it will never affect your care.
International transfers
Your data is stored in the UK or European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a supplier transfers data outside the UK, we require appropriate safeguards - normally the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent contractual protections.
How long we keep it
Medical records: retained in line with professional guidance for private medical records. For adults, this is generally a minimum of 8 years after your last contact with us.
Eligibility submissions where you didn't become a patient: 12 months.
Payment records: 7 years, as required by HMRC.
Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, then we keep a minimal record so we don't email you again.
Your rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct anything inaccurate
Erase your data - though we must keep medical records for the periods above
Restrict or object to how we use it
Portability - receive your data in a usable format
Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our basis

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or call 0303 123 1113.
How we protect your data
Clinical records are held in Semble, a UK clinical system with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and audit logging. Dr Parke is the only person with access to patient records. Devices are encrypted and password-protected. We review our suppliers' security arrangements before using them.

Children
Our services are for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here, and we'll email you if a change materially affects how we handle your information.
